A lot of people are quite upset over a recent increase in toll road rates by Harris County’s Commissioners Court. Which adds fuel to the theory that if you want a revolution, you strike at people’s pocketbooks, not at their hearts.
THIS MAKES ME SO ANGRY! HOW CAN ANYONE SUPPORT THIS TACTIC?!?! INSTEAD OF TRAINING OFFICERS TO BE CLICKAHOLIC COMMANDERS WE SHOULD BE SENDING THEM BACK TO POLICE ACADEMY (ONLY REQUIRED ONCE IN THEIR CAREER) TO RE-TRAIN ON HOW TO BE A REAL POLICE OFFICER!!!!! THEY’RE TURNING INTO LAME DUCKS WITH NON-LETHAL WEAPONS!!
WANT TO SEE WHAT REALLY GOES DOWN WHEN SOMEONE IS GETTING TASERED? WANT TO HEAR A COP SAY “I SWEAR I’LL BREAK YOUR FUCKING NECK IF YOU DON’T STOP”? THEN CHECK OUT THE LINK BELOW WHERE THE AMAZING PEOPLE AT CHRON.COM HAVE COMPILED SOME POLICE TASER VIDEOS. PREPARE TO BE STUNNED! In case you aren’t up on the story, last Saturday afternoon, May 12th, Houston Police Officer K.R. Barnes responded to a robbery call at a southwest Houston apartment complex. Two women said they had been robbed at gunpoint by a man half an hour earlier. In a moment of bad luck Alex Macario Rivera happens to ride by on a bike while the officer is interviewing the women, one of which promptly identifies him. So, Officer Barnes chases the guy down and somehow ends up in front of the guy. Rivera rounds a corner and runs past Officer Barnes, who then draws his weapon and fires two shots, with one bullet striking Rivera’s back. Surveillance video captured the end of this whole ordeal.
Officer Barnes says the guy had a gun drawn, and in some earlier reports, that he pointed his gun at the officer. They did, in fact, find a .38 cal next to Rivera’s pocket, though the video doesnt show whether he actually had it in his hand or not. Turns out that Alex Macario Rivera is a documented Crips gang member.
This event has been painted all kinds of ways in the past week: “The officer shot the guy in the back, he’s wrong!” and “The guy was bad, he deserved it!” being two of the loudest sentiments.
Unless you happen to be a Crip member yourself, I think we can all agree that guys like that probably aren’t the kind you want running around on the street. However, Officer Barnes wasn’t privy to that information when he shot. And remember, he did shoot the Rivera in the back, not exactly a threatening position. Then again, police officers are supposed to make those kind of split second decisions; decisions that decide whether or not someone lives or dies.
Did the officer do the right thing? Did he react too quickly? Would this have been a nice time to use his taser, as opposed to using it on kids or child-holding parents? What do you think?
Deputies shoot one man, Taser another
Harris County sheriff’s deputies shot and wounded one man and deployed a Taser on another after a brawl Tuesday at an apartment complex in northeast Harris County.
A deputy responding to a report of a fight in the parking lot in the 5300 block of Aldine Bender about 6 p.m. shot the man once in the leg after he allegedly pulled a gun and attempted to flee, said sheriff’s spokesman Lt. John Martin.
The unidentified man was taken to a hospital, where he is expected to recover, Martin said.
He said another man was stunned with a Taser when he refused to cooperate with deputies trying to clear the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.

Suspect dies after HPD officers use Taser on him
A man died at a southwest Houston apartment complex after Houston Police officers used a Taser against him for non-compliance Monday night.
The man, who was in police custody at the time, died around 11 p.m. in the 7600 block of Gulfton.
EMS technicians were present at the time of the death.
Investigators at the scene declined to comment and the incident remains under investigation.
“Attorney General Alberto Gonzales and U.S. Attorney Johnny Sutton, both already under siege for other matters, are now being accused of failing to prosecute officers of the Texas Youth Commission after a Texas Ranger investigation documented that guards and administrators were sexually abusing the institution’s minor boy inmates,” writes Corsi in a report for World Net Daily.
“Among the charges in the Texas Ranger report were that administrators would rouse boys from their sleep for the purpose of conducting all-night sex parties.”

I know of many corrupt things going on in our “Great System” right now but this information troubles me more than most. Even on mainstream media outlets you are beginning to hear more and more about child sex rings and prostitution. This isn’t the movies folks. This stuff is really happening. Sadly enough, Texas is a main attraction for these pedophiles. Literally thousands of CPS workers, correctional officers and other government officials are committing rape, sodomy and a plethora of other evil deeds on these innocent children who have no voice or anyone to turn to. I’m not sure what to tell you to do with this information but I trust that it infuriates you as much as it does to me. We need to take individual actions against these monsters in our own unique ways and combat them from all angles. Otherwise, this is guaranteed to become even more widespread.

An update to yesterday’s Hometown Taliban.
An unnamed faithful reader points out that suspected terrorist guy #1 was in fact, here in the country legally. HCC says that they have a current I20 form on file for Adnan Mirza. Not being an immigration expert myself, I’ll have to take the Chrons word for it that that lets people stay here legally.
Oh yeah, and Kobie Williams has denounced it all. A complete change of heart. I’d say ‘yeah, getting arrested kinda does that to you‘ but it looks like he turned himself in!
Both lawyers representing Williams said they could not comment on whether their client knew federal officials were watching him or whether Williams led investigators to Mirza. Floyd said that Williams had been communicating with federal investigators for some time before he surrendered to U.S. marshals Tuesday.
Hmmm… thats interesting. Well, good for him and the whole “seeing the error of his ways” thing.
While I don’t always agree with David’s opinons, he wrote an interesting article on the Lone Star Times about connections these guys had to a particular mosque in Houston.
You hear about it sometimes: A guy in New York, a college kid in LA, someone somewhere was caught giving aid to terrorists. But Tuesday afternoon, two students were arrested right here in Houston for giving support and planing to fight with the Taliban. I know we’re really friendly and helpful here in Houston, but thats a little much don’t you think?
According to the Chron article: Kobie Diallo Williams has pled guilty to to “conspiracy to assist a terrorist group”. Which, if I remember right, is gonna land you in jail for a bit. The other guy, a Pakistani national here on an expired student visa, is in the for the same thing and some federal wepons charges. Basically, the guys were giving money to someone who said they were giving it to the Taliban. And they were taking gun courses so they could eventually go fight in Afghanistan and Iraq.
While their plans weren’t very scary on their own, it is kind of a reminder that this kinda stuff can happen here. We live in the only city in the US with all major terrorist targets and, whatever your political/ideological views may be, there are those who’d like to do away with us. So, moral of the story? I guess just keep your eye’s peeled.
