The goal of creating a company from idea to launch over the course of a weekend has resulted in a company called TipDish.

TipDish is the online directory and distribution service that connects companies, organizations, PR and Marketing Professionals with the leaders and influencers in social media (bloggers, podcasters, viral video producers, etc.) Social media influencers (dishers) are encouraged to register their blog, podcast or videocast for free, including their specific and preferred topics, products and communication practices. Tippers will receive a list of specific dishers who looked at their information and another on the results of the campaign.

At the end of the weekend, the core of roughly 25 Houstonians will not only have created a new company, but will own founder’s share of stock in the enterprise.
