No Slurpees for you – Houston misses out on the Kwik-E-Mart fun

Woe to the city of Houston, the land without 7-Elevens. If you’re headed up to Dallas, however, make sure to stop by to get your Squishees and Buzz Cola.

From the Chronicle:

Over the weekend, 7-Eleven Inc. turned a dozen stores into Kwik-E-Marts, the fictional convenience stores of “The Simpsons” fame, in the latest example of marketers making life imitate art.

Those stores and most of the 6,000-plus other 7-Elevens in North America will sell items that until now existed only on television: Buzz Cola, KrustyO’s cereal and Squishees, the slushy drink knockoff of Slurpees.

Yes, I have to go to Dallas at the end of the month. I just can’t find out where the Kwik-E-Mart is located. I would love to go there! Does anyone know where it is located?

Lame that they chose Dallas over Houston & Austin but Bravo for us! This way we wont propel our community into alternate realities. The Kwik-E-Mart was created as attempt to criticize and mock our society…

…and don’t talk mess. I’m a dedicated Simpsons fan for over 10 years! I just think this is sort of ridiculous.
