Oh photobooth, where art thou?

I love cool, scratchy, vintage looking photos. If you’ve got a pocket full of quarters, a solid repertoire of bizarre facial expressions and a little whisky in you (or not) you can achieve kitschy photo nirvana by hopping into an old skool photo booth with your pals.

But where oh where are there cool photo booths in Houston? This Photobooth Web site is a great place to locate and share photo booth insider info from all over the country. Sadly, they only list ONE in Houston (at Katz’s Deli).

Help a sister out here — where do you go to ham it up in the photo booth?

I love these things too and have always lusted for more in Houston.

I know there’s some at Jullians, D&B and in some Movie Theater Game Rooms. Katz is by far my favorite but I miss the old school B&W Ones.

Last time I checked, Tavern on W. Grey had one inside.

Two I’ve seen, but not tried are: 59 Diner at Shephard near 59 and Amy’s Icecream in the same area, right by Freebirds. They both have photobooths, but I’m not sure if they’re the oldshool kind or the new digital crap.

Edwards Marquee (or however way they spell it) on I-10 has one of those digital sketch ones… and when the Rodeo was in town there were old-fashioned photo booths at the Carnival that took them in black & white.

I always have to wait for the rodeo to come into town for the good old fashioned black and white photo booth. i love the look. At this point I’d consider buying one myself for my house.

I’ll second Adrian’s two photobooths – but being a tech girl don’t you know the new way to take photos (to update your myspace page of course) is to use the webcams built into the MacBooks on display at the Apple Store?
