Raindrop Chocolates – an addiction in the making

All of those Houstonians with a discerning sweet tooth should drop what they are doing right now and head over to Raindrop Chocolate (810 Waugh Dr #100).

A relatively new guy in town, this is a little sweets shop that really shouldn’t be missed. In the chocolate department, everything is freshly made and very unique – how chocolate really should taste, if that makes any sense.

I was lucky enough to receive a beautiful little wax-stamped box from Raindrop Chocolate last night (thanks A!) – filled with dark chocolate lavender, white chocolate green tea, chipotle tequila and Irish cream truffles. Heaven in a well-wrapped package.

If chocolate isn’t your thing, their luscious, full-flavored gelatos ( the blood orange and chocolate comes highly recommended) are extremely addictive as well. Raindrop is also well-stocked with cheesecakes and other treats – if you are short on time, you can even drop off your favorite cake recipe and they will make it for you.

Run, don’t walk, to the sugar nirvana that is Raindrop Chocolate.
