Houston, Almost as Skinny as California


Wow, we sure know how to rebound. Remember not too long ago when we were on the list every single year for being the fattest city in the nation? Yeah, well… It looks like we’ve changed that. Houston is #3 on CNN/Money Magazine’s list of The Skinniest Cities.

I wonder how we did that. Are we eating healthier? Are we exercising more? We certainly aren’t driving less. What do you think? (Notice how we didn’t make it anywhere near the Shortest Commutes list)

If you poke around, you’ll see that several of our suburbs and statemates ended up all over the other lists too. Sugar Land raked it in with #5 Skinniest, #3 on the Top 10 Best Small Cities and #23 on the Highest Income.

    How is it possible to go from the fattest to one of the skinniest?! I am absolutely mystified by this!

    yeah, really…last time i heard we’re Numero Uno for being the fattest city…and now we’re #3 on the skinniest?? something just doesn’t add up…
