Jesus

If you head over to La Branch at Winbern and look up, you’ll most certainly notice the billboard shown in the photo above. According to the company that owns the billboard, the image seems to be of the homemade variety and was pasted over the top of the advertisement that is supposed to be there.

Jesus was unable to be reached for a comment on whether or not he truly prefers Budweiser.

That’s actually a Ron English piece, and he’s done it in other cities before as well.

It’s located in that specific place at this specific moment in time though because there’s an exhibit at the Station Museum (which is located right around there) currently which contains pieces by him, Gibby Haynes (of the Butthole Surfers), Daniel Johnston, and others. You should go check it out!

That’s freaking funny!!!! I like it a lot.

I can only imagine the chaos of Gibby’s paintings/ artwork.

Wait a minute… what were you doing awake at 2:51am?! Dude… you need to cut back on the Red Bulls at night!

Katie: Neat! Thanks! I had no idea!

Gov: I had too many shots of espresso yesterday afternoon (I work in a coffeeshop). My eyes wouldn’t stop moving.

Awesome. This gives me another place to go when I head in to town on Friday. I can’t wait to see Johnston’s stuff.

There’s a story about the billboard and the reaction of bloggers (and of Clear Channel) in the Chronicle:
