Arboretum Goes to the Dogs

Well, to a select few anyway. That’s right, the Houston Arboretum & Nature Center on 4501 Woodway Drive, which is normally off-limits to dogs, has graciously allowed 10 members of the Houston Active Dogs Meetup Group to take a Hike with the Hounds, Saturday at 9AM.

So why do I bother telling you if only ten (10) dogs can go? Well, one spot has opened up! If you are interested in bringing your canine friend to a very cool spot… sign up with the meetup group, RSVP for the event, and come on out. And even if you don’t make it for this time around, the group is always doing a ton of fun things! Like the event on Saturday night:

I though leashed dogs were always allowed at the Arboretum? I have seen them there before and a quick look at the visitor policies listed at their website says that leashed pets are OK.

Either way, have a great time…

You could be right. I know the policy before did not allow dogs, but I haven’t been in a couple years.

I like any idea that lets me bring my fiance’s dog with me. Thanks for the heads up. I’m gonna look into the group too.
