So what do you think?

Hey Houston – any thoughts on our new Houston Metblog look?

The brains and brawn behind the Metblogging family (like LA blogger and Metblog founder Sean, among many others) have really put a lot of work into the new design.

Be sure to check out the ‘Categories’ dropdown box on the left, to help you navigate Metblog posts by topic, and also be on the lookout for new Houston events and photos features that are soon to come. Here’s a full post on the redesign and all of its coolness.

We’re working on accepting new Metblog authors right now – but in the meantime, we remain as pleased as punch to have you hanging out on our site. Cheers!

    Yep, I’ve got two..
    1) It looks great -but-
    2) The javascript links (to expand/contract portions of the “menu” on the sidebar, and also the javascript links at the end of each article) do not work – at least, not under Firefox

nevermind.. the javascript appears to be functional, now.

Therefore, I have absolutely zero complaints! It looks great! although hitting tab to move from the comment box to the “POST” button, still doesn’t work.. but I’d wager that’s more an MT issue, than a layout one.

That’s funny – b/c the very first time I visited the new design (in Firefox as well) I had the same js problem. Everything’s cool now though….

It looks pretty good from my end, Katya. Although, when I click on the comment boxes I am seeing a glitch in the MBM background intruding on the info boxes.

It would have been useful (and would still be useful) to make some mention of this in your OLD rss feed. I just assumed that this blog had gone into one of its periods of slow posting, when in reality the feed has changed and there have been lots of posts!

This design seems crisper. The blogroll seems awfully limited, though. A cityblog only has links to four local blogs? Surely there must be more than four blogs that write about Houston in an interesting manner. :)
