Urban Outfitters in Rice Village

Am I the only one in the city that didn’t know that the Urban Outfitters in Rice Village was no longer open? What happened?!

Someone told me it burned down…whatever the case, when I passed by it today there were plenty of workers in and around the building doing work to get it back up and going..

I have always depended on Urban Outfitters for quirky gifts and odd things that you can get people – needless to say, for those of you that are lost without your Urban Outfitters, there’s always the Galleria location…

Does anyone know of other places that offer similar items? Share in the comments..

Haven’t been there in ages. There’s one in the Galleria near Nordstrom’s

Of course you can get similar stuff in thrift shops for 1/4 the price :P

Hey! I also saw that Urban Outfitters was closed last Sunday. But I just thought they were closing down… which didn’t phase me since I don’t shop there anyway. Perhaps they are just closing for renovations?

Aren’t there a couple of boutiques on Westheimer near the Montrose area that sell similar styles in clothing? I think there’s a place across the street from Brazil’s… no?

Yeah you can try Taxi or the Leopard Lounge. Also Buffalo Exchange nearby

    Thanks for the suggestions…

I was somewhat more interested in places that offered the funny items/books, not necessarily the clothing. Also, some of the home decor items are good as well (glasses, etc.)

While I was sure that there had to be someplace on Montrose that had similar items, I didn’t know where exactly…
