the era of the bar?
Now granted it is a Monday and the start of another week in the life of a yet-to-be fully employed member of productive society. But I believe it is never to early to begin the search for the perfect weekend bar. I have come to find that as one gets older, bars and/or pubs become preferred over the clubbing of our youth. There’s something comforting about sitting back at a comfortable table with friends, throwing back a few beers, and singing along with the local band a cover of the song “I want you to want me.”
Some of places I’ve frequented include Bryan O’Neils, Little Woodrows, Sam’s Boat, The Ginger Man, and every other place in the quaintly known “Village”. This past weekend was spent at Outback Pub – a place I had forgotten about. The crowd may have been a little less to my liking in comparison to other places – but cheap beer and good company of friends and at 1am, we were singing at the top of our lungs the words to “I’m just a girl” by No Doubt. A good night overall.
