Turkish Festival 2007

The Turkic Cultures and Children’s Festival 2007 will be taking place on September 8th and 9th at the Hermann Square from 1pm-10pm. Some of the showcases at the festivities will include Ottoman military bands, displays of glazed tiles, Islamic calligraphy, and Turkish folk dances.
Even cooler, there will be a drawing on the second day of the festival for 2 free tickets to visit Turkey!

    I will be attending to this event because it is going to be representing the real Turkish and other Turkic cultures. Therefore, anybody who wants to learn who Turks are and what the Turkish culture is should come to downtown Houston on September 8-9, 2007 between 1-10pm.
    Tickets are free for children under 12 and just $5 for the adults
