Marvin Zindler 1921-2007

Houston cultural icon Marvin Zindler passed away today after a battle with pancreatic cancer. A local legend, a father, husband, journalist, and all around great guy… Mr. Zindler will be missed by the many he touched.

I will miss Mr. Zindler very much. My family moved to this area when I was 16 and we really got into watching him, maybe, because my Dad’s name is Marvin also. Anyways, he has informed, entertained and amused me for 34 years and I doubt anyone can ever take his place. My thoughts, prayers and sympathies go out to his family.

    Sincerely,
    Linda Bone

Slimy restaurants around town can now breathe easier. It’s a sad day for Houston.

My deepest condolences to the Zindler family & friends. Houston has lost one of the best hearted person we could have ever imagined in our life time.
He was a great example of W.W.J.D. He is in a better place next to Jesus and heaven is celebrating
his arrival. He has listened to his calling, and never looked back, or expected anything in return.
You will be greatly missed around the world.
    Thank you for being
    in our lives.
    A saddened houstonian
