I love Texas drivers/parkers

Saw this beauty of a parking job in the new Heights Target parking lot last night (after going to look at gigantic presidents). There was plenty of room on the other side of the car, you know if the driver wanted to do something as mundane and uncool as backing up and actually parking like a ‘normal’ human being.

I don’t know why this bugs me so much.

That’s just asinine, huh? Why does someone DO that?

This Sooner fan can’t help but notice that the rude, arrogant driver in question is sporting Longhorn regalia on the vehicle. :)

Hmmm I would’ve expected this behavior from an Aggie, but not necessarilt from a Longhorn. For shame, for shame.

Hmmm I would’ve expected this behavior from an Aggie, but not necessarily from a Longhorn. For shame, for shame.

Having lived in Japan for a number of years, that kind of parking no longer bothers me or seems odd. Of course, I guess it was kind of strange that the person felt he/she had to do that when you say there were plenty of spaces available…

Wait, gigantic presidents?! Where?! How did I miss that?

(Also, ridiculous parking jobs like that suck… especially when my tiny car gets stuck on the bad side of one and I have to practically climb through the window.)

It seems that stating the obvious would be appropriate here:

    1. They are a longhorn. This automatically establishes the right to create a new parking space.

    2. They are driving what looks like a Hummer (or some comparable gas guzzling automobile). This establishes the ability to create said parking space regardless of established conventions (white lines, other cars observing those white lines).

Therefor, based on this indisputable logic, I must argue that this driver is within reason to trash the landscape and initiate the parking lot as they see fit.

They’re just “reclaiming their manhood” or “getting their girl on”.

It’s as “off-road” as this driver probably ever gets.
