Keep Houston…???
So, I drove up to Austin today and of course, the “Keep Austin Weird” stickers were plentiful. I discussed with my passengers the Aggie response (“Keep College Station Normal”) and we had a fun discussion of what to Keep Houston…most of which was far too ribald to print here…but it made me wonder what everyone else would say should be the local community identity.
Thoughts?
…homicide free?
Ha, I was just talking about this today. Austin may be wierd, but it ain’t got nothin on Houston. Ride the Metro and tell me this city isn’t wierder than Austin.
But, other than wierd. Maybe:
* diverse
* artsy
* loud
* mosquito free
* part of mexico (just kidding :P)
And college station is anything but normal.
I would say “corruption free”, but we have to get that way first.
* Open (to newcomers, new ideas, and change)
* Moving (not just traffic, but dynamic overall – credit to Mayor White for this one)
* Vibrant
* Thriving
* Energized (a little nod to the primary industry there)

Spaced Out
We have NASA (and we want to keep it!), the city is so spread out, and like the earlier comment…ride Metro and you’ll see some great examples of spaced out!
rofl.. this entry and the comments before me crack me up.. i totally second the keep houston: spaced out and under construction suggestions. :) those nail it on the spot.
Smoggy? Overcrowded? Muggy?
Keep Houston Hot and Sweaty
