What a total waste of money. Don’t get me wrong, I am a huge Clemens fan, but that $22 million could go a long way toward inking and developing a dozen young pitchers.
I agree with you man. Waste! First he held out until now so he can get more money. Second, he is old. Third, one person cannot make us better. It takes the entire team.

I can certainly see your point, but he puts butts in the seats, which goes a ways in defraying the cost. As for making us better, if he throws like he did last year, I can’t see how it could hurt. Of course if we hit for him like we did last year, then you might be right.
