Re-building air history

The 1940 Air Terminal Museum is a beautiful, recently renovated art deco monument to Houston’s early aviation industry.

Re-opened in 2003 (for the Wright brothers’ 100th anniversary), it now sits on the edge of Hobby Airport in the midst of renovation. A 1943 Lockheed Lodestar is currently in its hangar, with large displays in the indoor museum of vintage aviation toys, old school Texas airline memorabilia, Howard Hughes items and more.

Check out their Feb. 18th ‘Wings and Wheels’ event – $10 gets you lunch, museum and aircraft tours and special programs.
