Dallas here - I adore the smoking ban. Some restaurant/bars get around it in some sneaky ways, but they’re few and far between. As a city - no effect, I’d say. There was a lot of squawking when it was implemented, but I haven’t seen any change in restaurant traffic. It’s strange going to suburbs that don’t have the same regulations, and so frankly I avoid them. Maybe smokers actually go to the suburbs to avoid the ban, but I don’t think so.
