Im in heaven
Being as I have an amazing aversion to shopping in all its forms, I’m still going to have to say my favorite place in Houston so far is the shining beacon to all things geek. Thats right I’m in love with Fry’s. There are few things that make me skip and giggle like a schoolgirl but this is one. From ATX cases to Zip drives they’ve got it all. The only thing that is missing is ‘the guy’ who can answer all my inane and random questions with that knowing smile and nod.
As far as a place to go have a drink, I’m rather partial to La Carafe, nice, dark, semi-quiet and very different than any other place I’ve been in town.
Totally agree on Fry’s. It is a drive for me, but I would rather drive out of my way and go there for my needs. I feel so much more geeky when I’m there. And that’s a good thing. :-)
Did you know they’re opening a Fry’s on I-45 in Webster? They are designing the store (inside and out) to look like the space shuttle…. or is it a space station… something like that. It’s might big too!
They’re also opening up a Fry’s on 59 and West Bellfort…its going to be huge!
NEW FRYS!!!
Oh my goodness, space shuttle themes, i cant wait!
Well, at least they’re making sure to put new Fry’s up as far away from the inner-loopers as possible. It’s almost worth the shipping wait than having to drive that long haul. I hope Fry’s can keep up with the high-tech Webster community.
The webster Fry’s opened its doors today. Has a huge mockup of the International Space Station built into the ceiling.
The Webster Fry’s opened Wed.
I know I know.
Damn this not having a car…
Ooo… thanks for the heads up. Road trip! Not that I have any money left to spend.
